Golf Swing mechanics.

Perfect example of a drill I use to work on a clients golf swing. A seemingly not too physical sport requires training and needs to be done safely or all of that twisting can wreak havoc on your back. Core strength, core endurance, and the ability to maintain a stable midline on hole 14 and after can be pretty difficult. Add in walking 18 holes and some fatigue? Yikes. Always good to train some movements that you may see frequently over a season. This is a simple drill using legs, hips, and core to generate force laterally. Not 100% identical to a swing but honestly it will target and train the muscles that need to be conditioned. Try it out and if you’re hesitant about form, just ask! Being a personal trainer in Eagan has brought me plenty of clients that can not wait to get back into the golf season. Getting the training in during the off-season and prepping ahead of time can save you a literal pain in the a$$ when it comes time to get out there.
